A native of Biloxi, Dr. Mozzie Parker received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She holds licenses to practice in both Mississippi and Alabama. An active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, she is also a past president of the South Mississippi Medical Association. As the owner of The Pet Clinic, Dr. Parker established the clinic in Woolmarket in September 2001. She excels as a diagnostician and is professionally versed in internal medicine. Individually tailoring treatments and preventative medicine to the needs of each patient and owner is her primary objective. Always wanting to stay technologically advanced, Dr. Parker enjoys exploring new and improved ways of treating animals by attending continuing education seminars whenever possible.
Leigh Ann, a Biloxi native, has been the office manager of the clinic since it opened in 2001. She lives in Ocean Springs with her husband and two rescue cats. Even though her background is primarily in education, Leigh Ann has enjoyed helping her sister, Dr. Parker, open and build her practice in Woolmarket.
Jennifer joined The Pet Clinic staff in December 2012. She is a licensed veterinary technician from Michigan. Her academic background has really elevated our technical department. Jennifer has a great love for hounds and a very spoiled Beagle named Dirk. She looks forward to meeting you and your new pets!
Ethel joined The Pet Clinic in September 2008, with tons of experience in many veterinary health care areas. She has two pets, a cat named BB and a German Shepherd named Sabreena Fayth. Ethel also works at the Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency Hospital. Ethel's love and dedication to animals eminates every time she is in the office. If you have any special orders, problems or concerns, she is the person to ask for assistance.
Mary started at The Pet Clinic in March 2003, she is a proud mom of two Boston Terriers named Max Jr. and Millie; a French Bulldog named Mugsley; and two cats named MoJo and Mia. She resides in the St. Martin community with her husband, Mike. She enjoys participating in car shows with her Camaros and she loves watching her favorite team, the New Orleans Saints.
Ashley joined The Pet Clinic family in March 2013, where she assists in all areas of the clinic. She has a B.S. degree in biology with a minor in chemistry, but animals are her passion! Ashley has two miniature Schnauzers named Curly and Bear as well as two spoiled cats, Cleo and Honey.
Dr. Tashina Elswick is the newest member of The Pet Clinic team! Dr. Elswick is originally from West Virginia and is a recent graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her final year of veterinary school, she completed an externship here at The Pet Clinic with Dr. Parker and was proud to be welcomed back after receiving her degree. Dr. Elswick is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). She has special interest in surgery and parasitology, and previously published an article in the Journal of Veterinary Parasitology based on her thesis research on intestinal parasites in dogs. She is also interested in exotic animals and “pocket pets” and hopes to one day incorporate them into practice. Dr. Elswick is committed to providing the highest quality medicine to her patients, so she continuously educates herself on current topics in veterinary medicine. She lives in Gulfport with her husband and two four-legged children (a tabby named Kitty Soft Paws and a slobbery English Bulldog named Diesel). Dr. Elswick believes in treating patients and clients as members of the family, and she is very excited to meet you and your pets!
Andrea moved to Mississippi from her home state of Indiana in March of 2014. She graduated from Purdue University in 2013, with a BS degree in Animal Science and has been working in the veterinary field for several years. She lives in Gulfport with her husband, Michael, and their two dogs, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Abrams and a Lab/Spaniel Mix, Cynder. They have also recently addad a cat, Histamine, to the household. Andrea's education and experience make her a great addition to our team.
